About me

My name is Talita Cardoso Lima and I was born in Londrina, Brazil.

Since childhood, I was interested in esoteric subjects. I got my first tarot deck at age 8: it was a Marseille tarot, very pretty, but a little intimidating for a child.

In early adulthood, I put these matters aside, majored in Economics at the University of Michigan, and later embarked on a diplomatic career in Brazilian´s Foreign Affairs Ministry.

In 2013, during a trip to the USA, I rediscovered the Tarot – more specifically, the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, illustrated by artist Pamela Colman Smith, in 1909.

On this same trip, after reading “78 Degrees of Wisdom”, by Rachel Pollack, I was able to better understand the extent of the richness of the cards and, since then, my passion for this art has only increased.

Over the years, the Tarot has become, for me, a liberating and revolutionary tool. By learning about the cards, I learned more about myself and the world.

In order to help spread the magic of the Tarot, in 2014 I created the Portuguese website Tarot Daily – An Apprenticeship (www.tarotdiario.com.br), to share tips, ideas, books and information on the subject, which has become, over the years, widely accessed in Brazil and other Portuguese-speaking countries.

At the beginning of 2021, I created the Portuguese Instagram page to put the website content as well as exclusive content: @tarotdiarioblog

Now, in May 2022, I am making a new step, by starting to provide all the content in English too.

My goal is that the Tarot can be an instrument of self-knowledge and evolution for everyone. I hope that you will also find yourself in the cards and that the study of the Tarot can be a useful tool for you.
